Man on Fire TV Series Ordered at Netflix

A new adaptation of AJ Quinnell's thriller novels is coming to Netflix.
Netflix has ordered a series adaptation of A.J. Quinnell's "Man on Fire" and "The Perfect Kill" thriller novels. The eight-episode series will reportedly follow John Creasy, a broken ex-mercenary on a mission of vengeance after the death of his only friend. No casting or release date has been announced yet.
The "Man on Fire" novels have been previously adapted into a feature film starring Denzel Washington. The 2004 film was a critical and commercial success, grossing over $177 million worldwide. It is currently unknown if Washington will be involved in the Netflix series in any capacity.
Netflix's adaptation of "Man on Fire" is one of several high-profile projects that the streamer has in development. Other upcoming Netflix series include "The Witcher: Blood Origin," a prequel to the popular "The Witcher" series; "Shadow and Bone" based on the fantasy novels by Leigh Bardugo; and "Squid Game," a Korean drama that became a global sensation.
