Hungary Striker Barnabas Varga Stable in Hospital After Injury
Hungary striker Barnabas Varga is stable in hospital after suffering a fractured cheekbone in a collision during his side's 2-1 defeat to Scotland in their final Euro 2024 Group F match on Tuesday.
The 28-year-old was carried off on a stretcher late in the game after a clash of heads with Scotland defender Kieran Tierney. Varga was taken to hospital, where he underwent surgery on his cheekbone. The Hungarian Football Federation confirmed on Wednesday that the operation was a success and that Varga is now in a stable condition.
